Kate Pugsley is an oil painter and illustrator living in Chicago, Illinois. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated with a BFA in illustration. Her work explores the recurring forms and shapes within nature and their relation to the body and objects in the world. She draws a lot of inspiration from undersea environments, the past, science, dreaming and sleep, childhood emotion, sensory recollection and association.
